Some hindu outfits have raised allegations against Venketesh,Pavan Kalyan starrer ‘Gopala Gopala’ on Thursday. Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti (BGUS) has alleged that Lord Krishna and other Hindu gods have been depicted in badlight in the film.
In a representation submitted to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), BGUS, the organiser of annual Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in Hyderabad, said a negative depiction of revered deities hurts the religious sentiments of the majority community and may lead to disturbance in society.Gopala Gopala is said to be a dubbed version of 2012 Bollywood film Oh MyGod!.
Earlier, Aamir Khan starrer PK , directed by has been accused by religious outfits of being disrespectful to religions.
Gopala doesn’t hurt religious sentiments
Suresh Babu, producer of Gopala Gopala came out with the clarification that the film doesn’t hurt any religious sentiments. Gopala Gopala is a remake of ‘Oh My God’ and the Hindi version got censored without any objections. Nothing extra to the script of ‘Oh My God’ was added in the flick, he said.
Victory Venkatesh and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan play the lead roles in Gopala Gopala directed by Kishore Pardasani .Shriya Saran is the heroine. Anup Rubens has composed the music.
